Payment and terms

Simple money rules.

No fine print games. Read this once and we never have to discuss it again.

How payment works

StepWhat happens
1. QuoteYou get a fixed quote in USD before anything starts.
2. Advance50% via direct bank transfer books the project and its slot.
3. DeliveryYou receive the finished work for review.
4. BalanceRemaining 50% on delivery, before final files transfer.

Bank transfer only

Payment is by direct bank transfer. No cards, no PayPal, no exceptions for now. Account details are never published on this site; they go on your invoice after you commit to a project.

Revision policy

Two revision rounds are included in most packages (single-issue projects include one). A revision means changes to tone, structure, or emphasis within the agreed brief. A new topic, a new angle, or a doubled word count is a new project, and it gets a new quote.

Revision requests should arrive within 7 days of delivery. After that, the draft is considered accepted.

Ownership

You own the content in full once the balance is paid. I retain the right to show published work in my portfolio unless we agree otherwise in writing before the project starts.

Cancellations

If you cancel before drafting begins, the advance is refunded in full. If you cancel mid-draft, the advance covers work completed and the project closes.

Refunds

I would rather fix the work than refund it, and most problems are solved inside the revision rounds. But if the delivered work misses the agreed brief and revisions cannot close the gap, a partial refund is on the table. These rules keep it fair on both sides:

  • Refund requests must arrive within 7 days of delivery, after the included revision rounds have been used.
  • Refunds cover only the unusable portion. Work you keep and publish is work you pay for.
  • The advance is non-refundable once drafting has begun; it covers the booked slot and the work completed.
  • Editing and proofreading are non-refundable once delivered, since the review itself is the service.
  • Where we disagree on what was briefed versus what was delivered, the written brief we agreed before the project started is the reference both of us use.
